The Simple Studio Newborn Session | The Perfect Session for Busy Moms
To meet the diverse needs of my clients, I offer a variety of newborn sessions. Because I know how important it is to capture family memories, I always encourage my moms to schedule a family newborn session; however, I recognize that not all moms want to be in the frame and some are only looking for images to use for birth announcements. For those moms, I offer the Simple Studio Newborn Session. This is a shorter session, running around 60-75 minutes in length and includes two sets. As always, my set is kept neutral and understated, which will help me to focus on your newborn’s beauty and allows me to capture timeless imagery.
During this session, baby is encouraged to be fed and kept awake in the morning hours prior to the session. This extra step can help ensure that baby is sleepy at the studio. If he/she is not asleep, no worries at all. I will conduct the session following baby’s lead. If your bundle of joy is wide awake and doesn’t want to sleep, then I utilize set ups that can accommodate an alert baby. On the other hand, if your little one is sleeping like an angel, I can do a bit more intricate posing. Either way, you will end up with gorgeous images that you can hang on your walls, gift to family members, and use as birth announcements.
I recently photographed a local mom’s newborn daughter and she was a delight. Miss C was three weeks old at the time of the session. Normally, it is more difficult to coax baby asleep at this stage, but this little girl slept though most of the session and I was able to capture a diverse gallery of images for mom in just one hour. Even though I have lots of outfits, swaddles, and headbands fun stock, I love when clients bring along personal items. It makes the session unique and custom for their family. For this particular session, Mom brought along the most adorable knit mermaid outfit and I was happy to photograph baby in it. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.
